Katie Boucher is an Associate Professor and the Program Director of the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Indianapolis. She earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and a PhD in Social Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington.
Katie’s research focuses upon the factors that contribute to more supportive and inclusive classrooms and campuses and has been published in both peer-reviewed and public-facing outlets. As a Faculty Affiliate of the Equity Accelerator, she consults on professional development programming for EA’s work in educational settings. Katie incorporates the pedagogical approaches and tools from her research in her own teaching and mentoring, including in her statistics and research methods courses. Her complementary university and professional service focuses upon sharing her expertise to better support students through and to graduation. For these efforts, she was a Public Voices Fellow through the OpEd Project and has earned UIndy’s Outstanding Faculty Award, Inspire UIndy Award, and Strain Honors College Mentor of the Year Award.
